What does it take to get into a good Singaporean University?
Firstly, You need to be academically strong. This mean good grades for all your subjects (97% average for national/school exams or 35 points and above for IB).
Secondly, you need to have a good command of both written and spoken English. Lastly, you need to score well on the various University entrance examinations (NUS – UEE, NTU – UEE, SMU – SAT & TOEFL).
Think that’s easy? Think again.
Every year NUS alone gets over 300 successful applicants from Indonesia taking the UEE, but only 10% of them are offered a place. Preparing to go to university in Singapore has to start early.
